Factory Obscura does deadCenter

Earlier this year, Factory Obscura lead box office agent and musician Lindsey Cox had a big idea to collaborate with six Oklahoma bands to create Mix-Tape Vol. 1, a real cassette compilation of the Oklahoma city music scene.

The idea grew into not only a sold-out live concert on our Wonder Stage, but also an ‘80s-inspired short film of all six bands performing their songs inside the Mix-Tape experience.

We are thrilled to announce that the film, Mix-Tape Vol. 1 Visual Album, has been selected for this year's deadCenter Film Festival!

The film was shot, directed, and edited by Factory Obscura artist Kyle Van Osdol and includes performances by Jarvix (feat. Elecktra), stepmom, Jabee & L.T.Z., LCG and the X, Bad Jokes, and Audio Book Club .

“Factory Obscura wants our team to dream big, and we are always trying to say ‘yes’ to big ideas,” says Tammy Greenman, Factory Obscura co-founder and director of strategic creativity. “This collaboration is a perfect example of that, and we are super honored to be a part of deadCenter.”
