Deonna Marie is currently touring with NPR’s The Moth, sharing one of the stories from her one-woman show. She has performed on The Moth Mainstage in Massachusetts, Dallas, and New York. Director Wendy Poole commented, “Audience members at The Moth have been so moved by Deonna Marie’s one story; I can’t wait for people to experience the entire show.”
Over the last year, Deonna Marie has been working on Cricket’s Requiem, a soon-to-be-released feature film. Deonna Marie served as vocal coach for the actors and sings the film’s theme song "Take My Heart With You." She also stars in the soon-to-be-released documentary Finding Cricket's Choir as a Panelist and Judge.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Deonna Marie is a classically trained opera singer with 3 degrees in Vocal Performance. She has performed locally as a Resident Artist at Adèle Wolf Productions in Oklahoma City for over 3 years. She is also a nominee in Hundred Magazine’s “100 women making a difference in Oklahoma City.” Whether it’s singing, storytelling, or acting, Deonna Marie uses her rich and captivating voice to transcend emotions and has raised audiences to their feet on stages all over the world.
