Adult Night at Mix-Tape

Every third Thursday from 7:00PM – 9:00PM, we're staying open late to give grown-ups (18+) the run of the experience!

We’re hosting poetry night featuring Sydney Aerin, Kara Bullen, Meg Carlile, Bailey Lev, Mary B. Gray, and Cassie Grimm!

Friends night? Date night? Solo trip? This is your night to explore, hang out, relax, and enjoy every nook & cranny of the experience. Make it a date by grabbing dinner and shopping with our neighbors on 9th Street in Automobile Alley!

Sydney Aerin (she/her) is a licensed therapist, and a published and performing poet. She is passionate about mental health education, disability awareness, and equality for all. A few of Sydney's recent performances include Sunny Dayz Mural Festival, Factory Obscura's Future of Sound, and Red Dirt Poetry's Women's History Month Showcase. She has also had poetry pieces on display in the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry, and in the Inclusivity Art Show hosted by DNA Galleries. Mary B. Gray, a poet since she learned of poetry as a child, was born and raised in Lawton, OK and currently resides in Oklahoma City, OK. She received her Bachelor of Arts in both Journalism and English Writing, as well her Master of Public Administration (MPA), from the OU and her Master of Fine Arts from Oklahoma City University. Previous public readings include The Mark Allen Everett Poetry Series and Scissortail Creative Writing Festival. Her work has been published in Ain’t Nobody That Can Sing Like Me, Territory Magazine and For the Sonorous. Her first collection Who Do You Think You Are? through Turning Plow Press was released in October 2022 and won the 2023 Oklahoma Book Awards in poetry.

Cassie Grimm (she/her) is an Oklahoma poet and songwriter who is passionate about self expression, mental health awareness, and community building. She lives in Oklahoma City with her spouse Jacob and their two dogs, Everest and Eloise. Cassie is currently writing her first collection of poetry and hopes to form a indie rock band someday soon.




Bailey Lev is a multidisciplinary artist and the founder of Pink Street, a Tulsa-based music management company that supports independent bands. In addition to her work in music, Bailey is a dedicated poet, having self-released her DIY poetry zine I Dream in Pink. Her poetry delves into themes of self-realization, healing from past traumas, and pivotal moments that have shaped her identity. Beyond poetry, Bailey's diverse past work includes serving as a birth doula, a yoga instructor, as the Tulsa ambassador for Happy Period, and as a co-creator of the fashion label Bizarre Couture.


Meg Carlile is a lover of language of love. Growing up with extreme religious roots, she centers her core beliefs around love and human empowerment. She provides a space for herself and others to feel the vastness of the human experience under a light of grand optimism.

Kara lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, corgi, and cat. She earned a Bachelors of Arts in English Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, then passionately taught English Language Arts for 5 years. Her work can be found in The Oklahoma Women's Journal, Canary Collective, Okie Bookcast, the Red Dirt Poetry Youtube channel, & the 2024 Red Dirt Anthology. Kara has been a dedicated member of the Red Dirt Poetry community since 2020, and now serves as the Red Dirt Poetry Director of Publishing where she hosts Red Dirt Edits, a monthly peer editing workshop for local poets. When she's not sharing her words and big feelings at open mics, she's making friendship bracelets and crochet projects for the people she cares about. Follow Kara on Instagram @kara_beara_.
