Katelynn is an abstract artist creating paintings, sculptures, and installation-based art that explores storytelling through playful shapes, whimsical lines, and movement. Her style of making is process driven and intuitive, often layering different mediums and marks to create scenes that show glimpses into an imagined, colorful and organic world. Katelynn loves creating work at every scale, from the tiniest painting to large-scale murals. This allows her work to be both intimate and encompassing. Her mark making is expressive and lyrical, as she draws inspiration from processing daily life, memories, feelings, and things that feel like magic. Katelynn expands the painted scenes further by creating inflatable paintings, immersive collaborative work, and site-specific installations.
