ABOUT THE COMPANY

Factory Obscura is an Oklahoma City-based collaborative company creating and operating immersive, interactive multimedia experiences that awaken wonder, build community, and support artists. Founded in 2017, our team includes artists, poets, musicians, writers, engineers, dancers, makers, and creators. Together we have created a series of temporary experiences and our first permanent experience, MIX-TAPE, which was named  #2 Most Interesting Immersive Art Experience Around the World by Newsweek.  




MIX-TAPE is an immersive experience based on an audio-biographical journey through the emotions that go into creating, giving, and/or receiving a mix-tape. The MIX-TAPE's Bonus Track shop has been up and running since 2019 and gets thousands of visitors each year from all over the world. Part of the full Factory Obscura experience includes the local artist made and collaboratively branded merchandise available inside our BONUS TRACK store. Most of the artist made items have been made exclusively by Factory Obscura artists and some local art friends. Now we are looking to expand our offerings to include more handmade/handcrafted and artist designed merchandise from OKLAHOMA artists to sell within the MIX-TAPE Bonus Track shop-located in downtown OKC. Items are put on consignment (payout is 60% of retail price to the artist) .




Bonus Track carries a wide array of apparel, gifts, jewelry, accessories, stickers, patches, pins, housewares, art prints, and an eclectic selection of artist made items that fit the vibe of the experience it accompanies.



We are looking for artist made and/or artist designed items, specifically items that fit the vibe of our experiences, items that have a relationship to:  MUSIC and/or musical genres, VIBRANT COLORS, POP CULTURE trends, items that have a NOSTALGIC VIBE, and items that relate to the MIX-TAPE EXPERIENCE and overall items that are unique. 



NO HOLOGRAPHIC STICKERS!



WE GIVE PRIORITY TO SPECIFIC MERCHANDISE THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE AT MULTIPLE RETAIL STORES AROUND THE CITY. ITEMS/DESIGNS THAT CAN BE EXCLUSIVE TO BONUS TRACK ARE PREFERRED. 



PLEASE NOTE-BONUS TRACK IS NOT AN ART GALLERY AND HAS LIMITED SPACE SO WE DO NOT TAKE PAINTINGS, FRAMED WORKS OF ART or ART THAT MUST BE HUNG TO BE SOLD.

-Artist Made jewelry-All jewelry must be made with materials that are suitable for ALL people (NO NICKEL, NO CHROMIUM) 

-Art prints

-Artist Made DIY artistic kits for Adults and Kids

-Stickers (no stickers smaller than 3 x 3)

-Artist Made/Handmade home decor items

-Artist Made unique one of a kind items

-Artist Made items inspired by the MIX-TAPE experience

-Artist Made items highlighting Oklahoma, Oklahoma City 



PLEASE NO BRANDED MERCHANDISE-this includes no logo branding for your personal company/brand as well as no imagery/IP that is owned by another artist and or company we are looking for artist made small batch items.



•No merchandise containing/depicting drugs or drug use, violence, sex or sexualized imagery, nudity, religious, political, and/or hateful content will be accepted.



Please note, depending on what is already available in the shop, suggested retail price of the merchandise, and/or current sales trends some merchandise proposals may be turned down. It is advised you do not make the  merchandise prior to approval.



Once item(s) have been approved a contract will be sent. Please carefully read and fill out the contract and return.

Merchandise Guidelines

Factory Obscura Artist Made Merchandise Guidelines

Please follow and keep in mind these guidelines when proposing merchandise for the Factory Obscura stores.

  1. All merchandise/design must be original to the artist/consignor. No branded merchandise that is not owned by the artist/consignor. For example, no Manga, no Disney, nothing from another artist/designer, etc...

  2. No merchandise containing/depicting drugs or drug use, nudity, sex or sexualized imagery, religious, political, violence, and/or hateful content will be accepted.

  3. All art prints must include a rigid backer board (nothing that causes the print to flop over) that is the same size as the print (no small prints with large backer boards) and a plastic sleeve.

  4. No stickers smaller than 3 x 3 inches.

  5. All earrings must be on jewelry cards, preferably black. If not black, cards must all be the same color. No jewelry containing nickel or chromium. The Company reserves the right to change the jewelry cards. Earrings must also come with silicone backers.

  6. All enamel pins must be on jewelry cards, preferably black. If not black, cards must all be the same color. The Company reserves the right to change the jewelry cards.

  7. All items must be able to be tagged with a 2 x 1⁄4 inch price tag-this pertains mostly to jewelry, stickers, enamel pins, and anything small. Some exemptions can be made but that will come in the form of feedback from the Company. 



•Merchandise not approved through the Artist Merchandise Proposal form will not be accepted.
